Information You Submit
A third-party provider receives the name, phone number, or address entered in a search form. Our servers do not retain a copy of that query. A direct message contains only the details you choose to send, which we use to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps diagnose faults and measure general use. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may also rely on cookies or similar tools.
How Information Is Used
Limited data supports site operation, repairs, traffic counts, and page improvements. We neither sell a visitor list nor assemble profiles about individual readers.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Your place of residence may grant rights to inspect, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. The project research did not identify a general Washington consumer-privacy statute to cite here, so no unsupported citation is added. Requests usually concern a contact mailbox or limited server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by Washington, Snohomish County, or Lynnwood agencies remain under the custodian's control and must be addressed there.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
